Harness sizes

Size guide

Two measurements and one chart. The same four sizes on all four harness pages, and every size at the same price.

The size chart

L79 to 10258 to 69

Chest and neck in inches, weight in pounds. The chest decides the size. Weight is only a starting point: two dogs of the same weight can need different sizes.

One chart for all four harness pages. Every size is the same price.

Two numbers

How to measure

  1. 01

Use a soft tape measure. Measure the chest all the way around, at the deepest point just behind the front legs.

  2. 02

Measure the neck where the harness sits: around the base of the neck, just in front of the shoulders.

  3. 03

Choose by the chest first. If the chest falls between two sizes, or the neck and chest point to different sizes, e-mail us both numbers and we will help you choose.

  4. 04

Weight is only a starting point. Two dogs of the same weight can need different sizes.

  5. 05

Fit check: once it is on and buckled, you should slide two fingers flat under every strap, and no more.

A

Between two sizes

Go by the chest first. If the chest falls between two sizes, or the chest and the neck point to different sizes, do not guess: e-mail us both numbers at contact@keeldogs.com and we will help you choose. We reply within 2 business days.

B

The fit check

Once the harness is on and both buckles have clicked, slide two fingers flat under every strap: they should fit, and no more. The padded panel sits on the breastbone, the straps run behind the front legs and the D-ring sits on the back, between the shoulder blades. Check the fit again after a few walks, and whenever your dog grows or changes weight.

Four pages

One harness, one chart

The Corgi, Dachshund, Frenchie and Everyday Harness are the same harness, with the same chart. Measure your dog, not the page.

Still not sure? Send us the chest and neck measurements at contact@keeldogs.com, with a photo of your dog from the side if you have one. We reply within 2 business days.
