In detail
A French bulldog is built wide: a broad barrel chest, a thick neck, and front legs wide apart under a solid little body.
A harness for a Frenchie needs room at the neck and at the chest, and a way to adjust each one.
This one adjusts at both. Open the side buckles, slip the neck opening over the head, click the buckles shut, then adjust the neck loop and the chest strap to your dog's own measurements. In front, a wide padded panel covers the breastbone and runs back between the front legs in a Y. On the back, a metal D-ring for the leash.
It is the same KEEL harness as on the Corgi, Dachshund and Everyday pages, shown here on a fawn Frenchie in Navy. Measure the chest and the neck: the chest decides, and the chart is the same on all four pages.

Care
- Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then rinse well.
- Let it air dry completely before the next walk. No dryer, no direct heat.
- Check the stitching, the buckles and the D-rings before each walk, and stop using the harness if anything is torn, cracked or loose.

Step by step
How to use it
- 01
Open both side buckles and loosen the straps.
- 02
Slip the neck opening over your dog's head, or lay the harness on the floor and let your dog step in with the front legs on either side of the chest panel.
- 03
Bring the sides up and click both buckles.
- 04
Tighten the neck and chest straps until two fingers slide flat under each strap and no more.
- 05
Clip the leash to the D-ring on the back.
- 06
The first few times, put it on indoors with a treat and let your dog wear it for a few minutes before you go out.

Questions
Before you order
Something else? Write to us from our contact page. We reply within 2 business days.
Which size for a French bulldog?
Measure both: a Frenchie's broad chest and thick neck do not always point to the same size. The chest decides. If the two numbers disagree, e-mail us both at contact@keeldogs.com and we will help you choose. The full chart is in the size guide.
How do I put it on a Frenchie?
Open both side buckles and loosen the straps. Slip the neck opening over the head, bring the sides up under the chest and click both buckles. Then tighten the neck and the chest until two fingers slide flat under each strap, and no more.
Is it different from the other harness pages?
No. It is the same KEEL harness as the Corgi, Dachshund and Everyday Harness, in the same four sizes and 11 colors, shown here on a Frenchie.
Can I use it in the car?
No. A harness is not a car restraint or a seat belt. Never leave your dog unattended or tied up in it, and take it off at home and in the crate. More on our Fit & Safety page.
How do shipping and returns work?
Shipping is included in the price; there is no separate delivery charge. Orders ship within 1 to 3 business days, then take 7 to 12 business days in transit, so allow about 8 to 15 business days from order confirmation. We deliver to the 50 US states and Washington, D.C. Import duties and customs fees are paid by us. If a carrier ever asks you for any, contact us and we will cover it in full. Unused items in their original condition and packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. You can try a harness, collar or leash on your clean, dry dog indoors for a few minutes to check the size; once it has been worn outside, washed or chewed, or carries dog hair or odor, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Opened Poop Bags cannot be returned. A product that arrives defective, damaged or wrong, or shows a defect within those 30 days, is replaced or refunded, even if it has been used. Return shipping for a change of mind or a wrong size is paid by the customer; we send the return address by e-mail, and it may be outside the United States. For a defective, damaged or wrong item, we pay it. You can cancel at no charge until your order ships.
