In detail
Not every dog with short legs is a corgi, a dachshund or a Frenchie.
A terrier, a beagle, a mix from the shelter with a chest like a little barrel: if the chest and the neck fit a row of the chart, this is your page.
The harness is padded, with a wide panel over the breastbone and a Y-shaped front that runs back between the front legs and clears the shoulders. It adjusts at the neck and around the chest, closes with side buckles, and has a metal D-ring on the back for the leash.
It is the same KEEL harness as on the Corgi, Dachshund and Frenchie pages, shown here on a small mixed-breed dog in Lavender. Measure first, then pick the size by the chest and the color by what you like.

Care
- Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then rinse well.
- Let it air dry completely before the next walk. No dryer, no direct heat.
- Check the stitching, the buckles and the D-rings before each walk, and stop using the harness if anything is torn, cracked or loose.

Step by step
How to use it
- 01
Open both side buckles and loosen the straps.
- 02
Slip the neck opening over your dog's head, or lay the harness on the floor and let your dog step in with the front legs on either side of the chest panel.
- 03
Bring the sides up and click both buckles.
- 04
Tighten the neck and chest straps until two fingers slide flat under each strap and no more.
- 05
Clip the leash to the D-ring on the back.
- 06
The first few times, put it on indoors with a treat and let your dog wear it for a few minutes before you go out.

Questions
Before you order
Something else? Write to us from our contact page. We reply within 2 business days.
How do I know it will fit my dog?
Measure the chest at its deepest point and the neck at its base, and compare them with the size chart. If both fall in one row, that is your size. The chest decides, and weight is only a starting point.
Why are there four harness pages?
Because short-legged dogs come in a few shapes, and it helps to see the harness on one like yours. It is the same harness on every page: this one is for the dogs that are not a corgi, a dachshund or a Frenchie.
My dog has never worn a harness. How do we start?
Indoors, with a treat. Lay the harness on the floor and let your dog sniff it, then put it on for a few minutes and take it off again. Do that a few times before the first walk.
Can my dog be tied up or left alone in it?
No. Never tie your dog up with the harness or leave your dog unattended in it, and take it off at home and in the crate. A harness is not a car restraint or a seat belt either. More on our Fit & Safety page.
How do shipping and returns work?
Shipping is included in the price; there is no separate delivery charge. Orders ship within 1 to 3 business days, then take 7 to 12 business days in transit, so allow about 8 to 15 business days from order confirmation. We deliver to the 50 US states and Washington, D.C. Import duties and customs fees are paid by us. If a carrier ever asks you for any, contact us and we will cover it in full. Unused items in their original condition and packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. You can try a harness, collar or leash on your clean, dry dog indoors for a few minutes to check the size; once it has been worn outside, washed or chewed, or carries dog hair or odor, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Opened Poop Bags cannot be returned. A product that arrives defective, damaged or wrong, or shows a defect within those 30 days, is replaced or refunded, even if it has been used. Return shipping for a change of mind or a wrong size is paid by the customer; we send the return address by e-mail, and it may be outside the United States. For a defective, damaged or wrong item, we pay it. You can cancel at no charge until your order ships.
